WooCommerce Product Gallery Improvement

This has been asked before many times. I'm reposting it to add an example.
Please improve the product image gallery to match Crocoblock's JetProductGallery. They provide a perfect example of how to use the product gallery.

If I use the Woo Product Images element I can only have the most basic horizontal thumbnails. But these thumbnails are displayed in a very small resolution, 100px thumb for a 1000px square image, I can not change this behaviour of the element, so thumbnails appear blurry in certain situations. Also, no option for a vertical thumbnail layout.
If I use the Breakdance Gallery Element as an alternative, as recommended, I can not have a single big main picture at all. All I can have are equal sized images.

For anyone interested in this topic, have you tried using the Gallery element with WooCommerce product images? Check out Louis' implementation in this video: https://www.loom.com/share/160e78fc9a8d477aa97755c435c9b30f. Is there anything missing?

Andrzej Dubiel: I tried that right away. Yes, you can do exciting layouts but can't do the most standard e-commerce layout, which 90% of ecomm site use and I need it on most sites. That is one big image and thumbnail gallery wherever

Christian Beltoft-Andersen: Not trying to advertise anything. Just looking for feedback. Most standard layout you are talking about is supported by WooCommerce + Breakdance by default (see screenshot above). Do you have any other layouts in mind? Beside vertical?

Andrzej Dubiel: This is ok up to 5 images. But as I said in the Facebook conversation bigger stores are importing products via XML or CSV feeds that almost always have more images. So clients don't want manual work so they won't go and delete additional images. If you have like 10, 15, or even more images it's really bad. So slider is the only solution. And if you can do a side thumbnail slider like AMAZON has that would be even more amazing. To me, this is the only basic feature that Breakdance is really missing and I need a solution asap =( And of course, the open issue I reported on email.

Andrzej Dubiel: any news about this basic woo product slider gallery being fixed/improved. I have most 7-8 photos. It looks ridiculous.

Andrzej Dubiel I'm really disappointed that this feature wasn't included in Breakdance 2.0. Implementing it would likely have taken half the time compared to some of the new features. Don't get me wrong, the work on 2.0 is amazing! However, we really need this feature. It's becoming increasingly frustrating that such an essential functionality is still missing.
