Multi-step Checkout For WooCommerce
Naoufel Tarchoul
This is not a priority right now, but in lights of the new multi-step forms, it'd be nice if we could build a mulit-step checkout in Breakdance without having to use other plugins.
We could break the checkout into multiple steps to avoid overwhelming customers with all the fields they have to fill.
Sounds silly, but it could improve the conversion rate.

The new WooCommerce checkout block has a more modern step interface than the one in your opening post (+ you can create steps easily in the default editor). Integrating these new blocks (with the cart one) into Breakdance Builder and the global settings should meet the feature request needs perfectly.

- Usually multistep looks awful on mobile, so that's a con.
- Even Shopify has moved finally to a kind of "One page checkout".

A multi-step checkout is a must for me sadly, the law requires it in my country (EU), probably in a lot of other countries as well, depending on how aggressive the inspection is enforcing it. Tried several plugins for Multi step, but none of them are compatible with BD. The most important thing for me would be to have order review in the last step where the complete details about the order are listed (billing, shipping, product info) and customer can review it and finalize the purchase with a click on one last "confirm order" button.

Matic Kumar: how does EU require multistep checkout?

** It is VERY IMPORTANT to first capture the prospective Customer's Name and Email address so we can send follow-up emails to prompt abandoned cart completion of sales.
The FIRST Step MUST ask for both the UserName and Email address and have WebHooks (and Zapier interface) so I can update my CRM with Name + Email for an abandoned Cart.
My CRM automations will then wait for 4 hours and send the email prompt to complete the sale. **
((Note: 2 steps are ok with me, depending on what I'm selling. Some customers may have different Billing Address from the Shipping Address so that should be an option.))
