I don't suppose there's a way to have an SVG implemented as an inline SVG while retaining the ability to manipulate both its sizing and styles within the builder? (Use case example, say a non-square header logo.) Right now I get either size manipulation by using an image element (not inline SVG) or style manipulation as an icon element (inline SVG), but can't achieve both without some workarounds.

We've just shipped Breakdance 1.3 which includes this feature: https://youtu.be/A1H6Kd4XuBU?t=978
We've implemented the original request, which is to allow SVGs to be uploaded to the media library without needing to install a 3rd party plugin.
For additional requests and ideas related to using SVGs with Breakdance, please open a new issue.

You can add an imagewidget and select an SVG. This basically works but you get a servererror if you do this. It has probably something to do with parameters that don’t work on svg’s.
A dedicated svg widget would indeed solve this.

Yes please! This is like table stakes specially when your target audience are Elementor customers as Elementor does this out of the box. Forget Elementor, it's just common sense to allow the ability to upload scalable image format for logos within the builder.

Just upload the svg to the webserver and use the url link. You can do this without a plugin

fadi a: That's like saying just code a theme in PHP and don't use a builder. What's the point of the builder if I cannot upload a scalable image format without having to do it manually.

I'm using a php code snippet that lets me upload svg's. I enable it when uploading, disable again immediately after. Whatever the solution, security needs to be top priority.

We need it. I've to install a plugin before using SVG which is not good. SVG should be supported by default!

Possibly default sizing options? Does SVG work for you once the dimensions are explicitly defined?

SVGs work for me without a plugin - doesn't work anymore so not sure what happened there.
