Add an "Update File" option in the media library that lets me upload a new version of a file and automatically replaces it everywhere it's used on the site.

Problem: When I need to update a file (image, video, PDF) that's used in multiple locations across my website, I have to manually replace it in each spot. For example, if I use a stock preview image 5 times across 3 pages, then buy the final version, I need to update all 5 locations individually.
What I need: A way to upload a new version of a file and have it automatically replace the old version everywhere it appears on my site, instead of having to update each location manually.
Common situations:
When replacing watermarked stock images with purchased versions
Updating logos or other files used in multiple places
It would save time and prevent missing instances

We use the Folders Pro plugin to achieve this. It also allows us to organise media, pages, posts CPTs and more into folders.
For me it is an invaluable tool, particularly for larger and/or eCommerce sites.
https://premio.io/downloads/folders/ and I have to say their support is excellent. Been using it for about 5 years now too.
To have all this built into Breakdance would be awesome :-)

Wow! I would love a feature like this! This would also work great if changing out a company's logo site-wide. While logos show up primarily in the header and footer, sometimes there are other instances on larger websites. And, being able to swap image A with image B would keep anything from being overlooked.

This is not really a Breakdance request, you are doing it wrong. Add global images, files or links using dynamic fields. Or use a plugin as suggested by Phil.

Darren R that’s an interesting idea
